Maria & Yasemin – Die Feuer von Teheran

Between love and betrayal, between Berlin and Tehran
Markus Majowski, Nicolai Tegeler

ISBN 978-3-7116-0596-2
Book and e-book: 14.50 euros

Berlin – where the light of the Enlightenment meets the dark networks of espionage and terrorism, two women from completely different worlds meet:

Maria-Dorothea, caught between her religious upbringing and the urge for freedom and rebellion, and Yasemin, a high-flying estate agent with a dangerous past.

While Maria clings to Yasemin, she has no idea that Yasemin is acting on behalf of dangerous backers. But Yasemin, too, begins to have doubts – and risks more than just her own safety.

At the same time, the journalist Amir Nouri comes across an Islamist network that has long been active in Germany. Intelligence services, authorities and politicians – all are entangled.

Maria & Yasemin is a gripping thriller about political entanglements, the fragility of the West and a love that becomes a risk.

Markus, mach mal!

Off the red carpet and up the ladder

Life in lockdown – a catastrophe? The career – over? Job prospects – none? Hmm. Perhaps not. The actor, director and producer Markus Alexander Majowski, known among other things from the Telekom commercials, is practised at improvising and reinvents himself during the coronavirus crisis: as a security and alarm expert and installer. Majowski loses his fear of unemployment and starts his life all over again. After retraining, the man with what he calls his “Polish paws” is now a certified craftsman. And through his new job, security and confidence return. In his book he tells his story with humour and thoughtfulness – how he seized his chance and mastered his fears.
